Medical Devices Accessibility Act

I have wonderful news to share, the NFB Washington DC teams was successful in getting one of our bills re-introduced. This is but the first step, of an ongoing fight to get more support till it becomes law. I would also like to say thank you to Illinois ( I have family there❤️) and congresswoman Schakowsky for supporting the blind and disabled community, this benefits us all.

March 1, 2023 WASHINGTON – Today, Congresswoman Jan Schakowsky (IL-09), a Chief Deputy Whip and Ranking Member on the Innovation, Data, and Commerce Subcommittee of the Energy and Commerce Committee, led 32 of her colleagues in reintroducing the bipartisan Medical Device Nonvisual Accessibility Act. This bill would ensure that home-use medical devices are accessible to blind and low vision Americans across the country.
